Closing arguments were delivered Monday in the trial of 35 year old Daniel Stearns, accused of murdering his girlfriend, dismembering her body, and burning her remains before burying them in Palm Bay. The victim, 44 year old Nancy Howery, was reported missing by her ex-husband after failing to pick up her children. Stearns faces second-degree murder, tampering with evidence, and mutilation charges and could receive life in prison if convicted.
