Cold Snap Brings Freeze Watch And Fire Weather Alerts To Central Florida

After record breaking heat in some areas over the weekend, a sharp cold front is pushing unseasonably cold air into Central Florida, bringing a freeze watch to some of the northern areas and cold weather advisories for the rest of us through Tuesday morning. Forecasters say temperatures could dip into the upper 20s in northern areas and near freezing across Orlando. Here along the Space Coast, we will see temperatures dip into the 30’s but it’s not expected to be a hard freeze, although frost is possible. Gusty winds and very dry air have also triggered red flag warnings and fire weather alerts statewide.
