Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University’s Daytona Beach campus was placed on lockdown after a threatening phone call Tuesday evening. Authorities say a caller told campus security someone was minutes away and planned to open fire, prompting shelter-in-place alerts and a full police sweep of the campus. Officers escorted students to dorms and searched buildings. No gunshots were reported and no weapon was found.
