A Satellite Beach startup called Space Beyond plans its first memorial spaceflight by the end of 2027, sending portions of cremated remains into orbit aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9. The small satellite could carry up to 1,000 people or pets, circling Earth for years before re-entering the atmosphere as a shooting star. Prices start at only about $249, making it one of the lowest-cost options in a growing “space burial” industry.
