A 48 year old former reptile dealer in Osceola County has been sentenced after 111 African fat-tailed geckos were found abandoned in a storage unit, with 41 dead from neglect. Kelvin Soto pleaded guilty to felony animal cruelty and received four years probation, 100 hours of community service, over $5,000 in restitution, and a permanent ban on owning or handling animals.
