An 81 year old woman was struck and killed Thursday evening while crossing a darkened section of State Road A1A in Indian Harbour Beach outside a marked crosswalk. The Florida Highway Patrol said the 86 year old driver of a Fiat 500 was not injured. The woman was taken to Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne, where she was pronounced dead. No charges have been filed. The investigation continues.
