Man Shot By Deputies After Standoff in Polk County

A man is in extremely critical condition after being shot by deputies during a standoff in Polk County. Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd says the man fired at his wife and a deputy before barricading himself inside the home in Poinciana. SWAT used chemical agents and bean bags to try to end the standoff, but the man pointed a gun at deputies. That’s when they opened fire. The man was airlifted to a hospital. No deputies were hurt.
