Playalinda Beach near Titusville will see reduced hours through Jan. 30 and close entirely starting Jan. 31 as NASA prepares for its Artemis II mission, the first crewed flight beyond Earth orbit in over 50 years. The 10-day lunar mission could launch as early as Feb. 6 from Kennedy Space Center’s pad 39B. The rollout of the Space Launch System rocket and Orion spacecraft may begin this weekend.
