A 76-year-old Merritt Island man is dead after a head-on crash Tuesday afternoon on Sykes Creek Parkway near Old Audubon Road in Brevard County. Troopers say a vehicle crossed into oncoming traffic around 5:30 and collided with an oncoming vehicle. The first driver was pronounced dead at Cape Canaveral Hospital, while the other driver, a 30 year old Merritt Island man, was not hurt. The crash remains under investigation. No names have been released.
