If you live in Palm Bay and you have a septic system, you may have no choice but to connect to the city’s sewer system. Palm Bay city council met Thursday night, and among the items on the agenda was the final reading of a new ordinance aimed at removing thousands of septic systems under a four year plan. If it gets final approval, septic tanks would be phased out and property owners would be required to connect to the city’s sewer system. That same plan would also connect 2,000 properties that are currently using wells to the city water system.
