A Brevard County jury convicted 32 year old Daniel K. Diemer of second-degree murder in the December 2019 shooting death of his brother-in-law, 45 year old Kyle Zepeda. Jurors deliberated less than 30 minutes after viewing phone video showing Diemer retrieving a handgun and shooting the unarmed victim at close range inside a Camberly Street home. Investigators say Zepeda had gone to check on Diemer during a disturbance when he was killed. Diemer was taken into custody at the scene and awaits sentencing, with a status hearing set for Feb. 26.
