Residents Cite Health Issues From Noise At Melbourne Water Facility

Residents near a booster pump station in Indian Harbour Beach say a high-pitched noise from the site has disrupted daily life and, in some cases, caused health problems. The facility is owned by the City of Melbourne, which says sound tests show the noise is below ordinance limits, while Indian Harbour Beach officials say the issue is Melbourne’s responsibility.
Melbourne says it is hiring another consultant as residents consider legal action and plan to raise concerns at an upcoming city council meeting.
