A 19 year old Rockledge man has been sentenced to 35 years in state prison for killing his grandmother. Jaylin K. Christian pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in the 2022 stabbing death of 57 year old Muriel Emerson, who was stabbed 42 times. Prosecutors said Christian planned the attack to steal her credit cards and run away. The judge also imposed a lifetime of probation after his prison sentence.
