A Sebastian man has been indicted on 17 charges, including three counts of first-degree felony murder following a high-speed crash in Cocoa that killed three passengers. On March 28, 41 year old Vernon Hodges, while fleeing from the Florida Highway Patrol, crashed into a tow truck on an exit ramp, killing his 3 passengers. The tow truck driver was seriously injured. Hodges himself was hospitalized, and later arrested. He remains in jail today without bond.
