Space Florida has filed a lawsuit against a contractor after a 2020 crash damaged an electrical transformer at the Kennedy Space Center’s Shuttle Landing Facility. The damage, estimated at $561,594, was only partially paid by the contractor. Space Florida says repeated attempts to recover the remaining $299,592.54 failed, prompting legal action to ensure taxpayer funds are protected.
