A woman has been sentenced to nine years in prison for a June 2022 hit-and-run that killed a Cocoa bicyclist. 35-year-old Anabel Morales pleaded no contest to leaving the scene of a crash resulting in death. Florida Highway Patrol reports show 56-year-old Stephan Morf was struck from behind on State Road 520, falling 30 to 50 feet into the Indian River. Morales was taken into custody late in 2022 and agreed to the plea as part of a negotiated sentence.
