After receiving a notice of termination giving him the option of appealing his recommended firing after an internal investigation, a Melbourne police officer has resigned. Officer Peter Dolci was the subject of multiple internal investigations over a four month period. One of them involved a traffic stop back in January, when he was pulled over on suspicion of drunk driving. Dolci was with the Melbourne Police Department for about three years. He had been on administrative leave with pay since January 28th.
