Brevard Superintendent Placed On Leave

Following a meeting that lasted more than 5 hours, and a debate during that meeting that took up about one of those hours, the Brevard County School Board put Interim Superintendent Robert Schiller on administrative leave Tuesday night. After the long meeting, the motion was made late last night by Board Chair Matt Susin to put Schiller on leave. Board Member Megan Wright seconded that motion and it passed unanimously just before 11pm. Assistant Superintendent Susan Hann was then named acting superintendent. It all comes about after Schiller sent a 12 page email in response to an amended employee contract, in which he requested a higher salary. He also blasted the board on what he called their “immaturity.”
