A 30 year old has died at the Brevard Zoo. Gomez was a male wrinkled hornbill. The bird was 30 years old and he died unexpectedly at the zoo after being treated for sudden weight loss. Gomez and his lifelong partner Morticia… a 30 year old female wrinkled hornbill… have produced more than five offspring… they even have grand chicks at other facilities.
