Starship Launch By SpaceX In Texas A Success This Time

In a test flight on Thursday morning, the massive SpaceX Starship rocket went into orbit for the very first time — and much farther than the two previous test flights last year. The nearly 400 foot tall rocket, which is the largest and most powerful rocket ever built, with 33 Raptor Engines, took off nicely from a launch pad in Texas, and then successfully separated from the Starship, which splashed down zone in the Gulf of Mexico, but not the soft landing that was hoped for. The Starship went through a string of tests while in space. Data from all the tests will be closely analyzed and are critical for the role Starship will play in the future, including it’s part in NASA’s return-to-moon Artemis program.
