We’re only a little more than 60 days from the start of the 2024 Atlantic Hurricane Season, and now AccuWeather has released a forecast calling for a potentially explosive season in 2024, with 20 to 25 named storms expected. Eight to twelve of those storms could become hurricanes, and four to six may directly impact the United States. Accuweather points to what they see as heightened risks for Texas, the Florida Panhandle, South Florida, and the Carolinas. The forecast warns of the potential to break the all-time record of 30 named storms in one season.
