A man jumped from the world’s largest cruise ship, the Icon of the Seas, shortly after it departed from the Port of Miami en route to Honduras. The Coast Guard reported the man was a passenger on the Royal Caribbean vessel, which has also at times called Port Canaveral here in Brevard County, its home port. Despite rescue efforts, he was pronounced dead. The ship, carrying a maximum of 7,600 passengers, suspended its journey for two hours during the search. Details surrounding the incident remain under investigation.
