In Cape Canaveral, a man has been arrested after he allegedly lassoed an alligator and tied it to a fence, then called 911 claiming he found the gator that way. 71 year old Robert Colin faces a felony charge for injuring a gator without authorization. Investigators say on Wednesday, Colin used a nylon rope to capture the alligator. Surveillance footage revealed he lassoed the reptile. Colin, who said he acted out of frustration after numerous calls to animal control, claimed the alligator had been preying on local turtles. The gator was later euthanized.
