NASA Postpones Next Human Launch As Starliner Still Facing Issues

NASA has postponed its next astronaut launch to allow more time for Boeing to address issues with its Starliner capsule. Initially scheduled for this month, the SpaceX Crew-9 mission will now target a launch date of September 24. The delay will enable further analysis of thruster and leak problems that have plagued Starliner’s crewed test flight that went up in June and is now several months delayed… with the two astronauts that flew there on it, still at the International Space Station. Now, those astronauts… Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams…. may return aboard a SpaceX capsule. NASA plans to provide more details in a news conference today, including what they might do with the Starliner if it is unable to return to earth.
