Yesterday was primary day here in Florida, and we have some results for you this morning…
The Palm Bay City Council Seat 2 race will head to a runoff between incumbent Donny Felix and challenger Richard Mike Hammer. In yesterday’s primary, Felix and Hammer advanced after neither secured over 50% of the vote. The runoff is scheduled for November 5th.

Former Florida Senate President Mike Haridopolos has won the GOP primary for Congress in District 8, securing 73.91% of the vote in Brevard County. Haridopolos had the full endorsement of former President Donald Trump. He will now face Democratic candidate Sandy Kennedy in the November general election.

State Representative Randy Fine… who also had the endorsement of former President Donald Trump… has won the GOP primary for State Senate District 19. The victory was solid, with Fine getting more than 73% of the vote. Fine will face Democrat Vance Ehrens in the November general election.

Palm Bay Mayor Rob Medina has secured his re-election in the primary, winning 55.33% of the vote. With the clear majority, Medina avoids a runoff and will continue his term.

State Senator Debbie Mayfield has won the GOP primary for Florida House District 32, securing 64.99% of the vote against former Congressman Dave Weldon. Mayfield is favored to become the next representative for the district when she faces Democrat Juan Jose Hinojosa in the November general election.
