Tropics Remain Quiet

As we enter the traditional peak of Hurricane Season, things overall remain pretty quiet. But don’t let your guard down. It’s not over yet. The National Hurricane Center is now monitoring three tropical waves in the Atlantic. One wave in the Caribbean Sea is expected to develop into a tropical depression as it moves west, with a medium chance of formation later this week. Another wave over the eastern Atlantic could also form a tropical depression, with similar chances. A third disturbance between Africa and the Lesser Antilles has a low chance of developing due to unfavorable conditions expected later in the week.
