Brevard County schools were on alert Thursday due to multiple online threats, but in the end, they were all deemed not credible. Superintendent Mark Rendell assured families in an email that the threats appear to be attempts to create chaos and have been thoroughly investigated. He added however, that all threats are taken seriously and that the district is working closely with law enforcement. Rendell urged parents to talk to their children about the seriousness of making threats and advised against sharing such posts online. He said parents should encourage their kids to report any suspicious activity directly to school officials.
