Investigation Underway Into Illegal Turtle Trafficking
Federal wildlife investigators say nearly 2,000 protected Florida turtles were illegally taken from their habitats and shipped overseas. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service says the turtles were transported through San Francisco before ending up in Taiwan using false export permits. The investigation remains active.
