A Brevard County deputy and her K-9 partner walked away safely after their patrol vehicle caught fire on Interstate-95. It happened early Monday night, when the deputy struck a utility trailer around mile marker 185 while responding to an emergency call. Both the deputy and the K9 were able to safely exit the car before flames engulfed it. The Florida Highway Patrol says the crash is under investigation.
