A 21 year old Cocoa man was killed after his motorcycle was struck by a car on Merritt Island Friday evening. The Florida Highway Patrol says the crash happened on Courtenay Parkway when a northbound minivan turned left into the motorcycle’s path. The rider was thrown from the bike and later pronounced dead at Cape Canaveral Hospital. The minivan driver, a 64 year old Merritt Island woman, was treated for minor injuries, and the crash remains under investigation.
