A Brevard County couple remains stranded in Mexico after violence erupted near their Puerto Vallarta resort following the killing of a cartel leader known as El Mencho. Wendee Parks says she and her husband were ordered to shelter in place as gunfire was reported near the airport and flights were canceled. The U.S. Department of State issued a security alert urging Americans in the area to limit movement. The couple is now booked on a flight home as service slowly resumes, while officials warn the situation remains fluid.
