Surfing Santas Return To Cocoa Beach On Christmas Eve

What began on Cocoa Beach as a local event back in 2009 has now grown to an event that makes headlines worldwide. The world famous Surfing Santas will once again hit the beach on the morning of Christmas Eve. The annual event now draws more than 800 surfers and 10,000 spectators to Cocoa Beach… plus it draws the attention of millions of other people worldwide. This year, the Surfing Santas hope to break their own record for the number of Santas simultaneously… well… surfing! It all gets underway at 8am on December 24th at Minutemen Causeway Beach in Cocoa Beach, and it runs until about noon. There is no admission charge. There are also no skill or age requirements to participate. The only requirement is to grab a board and don your most festive holiday costume, whether it be Santa Claus, an elf, or any other seasonal character. Plenty of parking will be available and most restaurants will be open to serve both participants and spectators.
