The name of the man who was shot dead after apparently attacking another man who was sitting in a truck eating his food at McDonalds on US-1 iin Port St. John on Sunday night, has been released. Brevard County investigators say 36 year old Brandon Turner of Cocoa died when the intended victim fought back, and shot him. The victim… who is licensed to carry a concealed weapon… says Turner just came up to his vehicle and started punching him as he sat in the front seat, so he shot him in the chest. Deputies say the attack was unprovoked. Now, it is believed to have stemmed from a case of mistaken identity. Investigators say the man Turner was punching was not the man he was apparently looking for. The name of the victim has not been released, and the investigation is ongoing.
