A woman is dead after being hit by a train Tuesday night in Brevard County. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, it happened last night on Malabar Road, just east of US Highway 1 in Malabar, where troopers say the woman… whose name has not been released… was walking along the track north of the crossing when she was hit by a Florida East Coast Railway train. She was pronounced dead at the scene. The train stopped, blocking the road to vehicular traffic, forcing drivers to use alternative routes. The Brevard County sheriff’s office is now investigating.
