Tow Truck Crashes In Sebastian

Usually, a tow truck is called after a crash. In this case, the tow truck was the vehicle that DID crash. It happened in Sebastian, where a tow truck that was transporting a vehicle, hit a road sign and then crashed into a concrete utility pole along US-1 near the Reel ‘Em In Bait & Tackle Shop, causing around $43,000 in damages. The driver of the truck, Jacob Blohm, told police that he looked down at the map on his mobile phone for just a moment before it happened. Police say however, that Blohm was traveling at a high rate of speed at the time. He wasn’t hurt, but he was cited. The truck also hit a vehicle that was parked along the side of US-1. One person was in that vehicle at the time and they were taken to the Sebastian River Medical Center. There has been no update on their condition.
