Burns Facing Federal Charges

The founder of the Brevard County news site “Space Coast Rocket”, Robert Burns, faces federal charges related to alleged COVID-19 pandemic loan fraud. Burns is accused of misrepresenting information to secure over $57,000 in Paycheck Protection Program loans, which were purportedly used for cryptocurrency and gambling. Prosecutors have charged Burns with three counts of wire fraud. The case, according to a report by News 6 in Orlando, adds to Burns’ existing legal issues, including previous election law violations and pending charges including trespassing, witness tampering and assault from an incident that took place last August.
