Man Charged After Shooting Down Walmart Drone

A Florida man faces charges after Sheriff’s deputies say he shot down a Walmart delivery drone rendering it unusable and causing significant damage. Deputies responded to Walmart in Clarmont after drone delivery representatives reported the incident. The crew conducting mock deliveries in a nearby community observed the drone descending when they heard gunfire. They identified 72-year-old Dennis Winn holding a gun near the drone. The drone sustained $2,500 in damages. Winn, citing concerns about drones over his home, was arrested and charged with multiple offenses.
