Woman Arrested In Connection With Motorcycle Hit And Run In West Melbourne

West Melbourne police have charged 24-year-old Rebekah Tate with leaving the scene of a crash with serious injury and tampering with evidence. Tate’s arrest follows an incident that occurred early last Sunday morning at the intersection of U.S. 192 and Dairy Road. Tate, who was driving a vehicle that collided with a motorcyclist, fled the scene according to police with the motorcycle still attached. She was later found attempting to hide the damaged vehicle. The 34 year old motorcyclist remains in critical condition. Tate is now being held at the Brevard County Jail with no bond.
