Two others were detained after returning from a cruise without probation approval.

Scott Allen Gardner has been sentenced to 42 years in prison after pleading no contest to second-degree murder. Investigators say Gardner left his toddler in a hot truck for hours in Volusia County while he got a haircut and went drinking. The child’s body temperature reached 111 degrees.
