Florida Python Challenge Winner Captures 96 Snakes
Tom Rahill has won the 2026 Florida Python Challenge after capturing 96 invasive Burmese pythons. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission awarded Rahill the competition’s $10,000 grand prize. The annual event is aimed at reducing the snakes’ impact on native wildlife.

Flagler County deputies arrested 31 year old Justin Andrew Fountain after investigators say he stalked a woman he met online, broke into her hotel room and stole a teddy bear containing her son’s ashes. Deputies recovered the bear during a traffic stop on Interstate 95. Fountain faces several felony charges.
