Melbourne Seeks $20 Million for Water System Upgrades
Melbourne is seeking more than $20 million in state funding to upgrade its water treatment system following complaints about taste and odor during algae blooms in Lake Washington. The roughly $80 million project would add groundwater wells and reduce the city’s reliance on the lake. Officials say the water remained safe to drink.

United Launch Alliance has rolled a Vulcan rocket to Space Launch Complex 41 at Cape Canaveral for a full launch rehearsal. The test will include fueling, countdown procedures and checks of the rocket’s new Centaur V upper stage designed for Amazon Leo satellite missions. ULA says a launch date has not yet been set.

Construction is underway on a $95 million expansion and renovation of Cruise Terminal 10 at Port Canaveral. The project will expand the terminal to more than 145,000 square feet and allow it to handle some of the cruise industry’s largest ships, carrying up to 6,700 passengers.
