Melbourne Beach Cameras Raise Privacy Concerns
Thirteen cameras installed at Melbourne Beach rescue ring stations are drawing privacy concerns from some residents. Town officials say the cameras are meant to detect when life rings are removed and deter theft or vandalism. The town says the cameras do not livestream and plans to review the system with the vendor.

Titusville police say 60 year old John Dietsch is accused of damaging hearses at two funeral homes, causing thousands of dollars in damage. Investigators say surveillance video and Flock cameras helped track him to a nearby motel. Dietsch faces two felony criminal mischief charges. Police have not disclosed a motive.

A 23 year old Oklahoma man was found dead Sunday after his car plunged into a Cocoa Beach waterway. Police say the Nissan Altima left the roadway at high speed near the Banana River relief bridge and sank in about eight feet of water. No foul play is suspected.
