Utilities Offer Tips to Cut Cooling Costs
Florida’s extreme heat is driving up air-conditioning use and power bills. Central Florida air conditioners are working about 16 percent harder this summer. Utilities now recommend setting thermostats as high as comfortably possible, keeping filters clean and using ceiling fans to help reduce energy costs.
