Brevard Mother Killed in Wrong-Way Crash
A Brevard County mother was killed in a wrong-way crash on Interstate 10 after dropping her older daughter off at Florida A&M University. Terri Pollock’s 13 year old daughter suffered serious injuries. The Florida Highway Patrol says charges are pending.

Astronaut High School in Titusville is closed today because of a complete power outage. Florida Power and Light told Brevard school officials electricity would not be restored before classes. The school is scheduled to reopen Tuesday.

Two people were arrested after an alleged Ormond Beach carjacking led to a chase into Flagler County. Deputies say 31 year old Lee Miller abandoned the vehicle before being captured. Two children inside were unharmed. 34 year old Daniella Alvarez is accused of filing a false report.

A Volusia County lifeguard rushed into the ocean after a small banner plane crashed near 27th Avenue in New Smyrna Beach. The pilot escaped the aircraft and suffered minor injuries. The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the cause.
