Early voting begins in 35 Florida counties
Early voting for the mid-term election officially kicked off on Monday in 35 of the state’s 67 counties, including Brevard and Osceola counties, giving voters a head start ahead of the November 3 election. For the rest of the state, the mandatory early voting window opens this Saturday.

A 71-year-old Winter Garden man died after an alligator attack while fishing Friday. Authorities say Steven Hamilton was holding up a fish while taking a photo when the nearly 12-foot alligator attacked and pulled him into the water. He is the second alligator-related death in Florida this year.

Elon Musk says he plans to give one SpaceX share to every child in America next year. With about 73 million children under 18 and SpaceX shares trading near $146, the pledge could be worth more than $10.5 billion. Musk has not yet explained how the shares would be distributed or who would qualify.
