3 South Florida men are facing a long list of charges after Flagler County deputies pulled them over as they were driving in a stolen car with a trunk full of catalytic converters. Deputies say the car was traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes of Palm Coast Parkway with no headlights on, and after they had to use stop sticks to flatten the car’s tires, it still was able to continue fleeing at high speeds out onto I-95. That’s where deputies continued following the car southbound on the interstate until it became totally disabled and was forced to stop near the Flagler/Volusia County line, where all three occupants were taken into custody. A search of the car turned up a New York license plate that had been reported stolen out of Palm Beach County; 13 catalytic converters; and tools commonly used to steal them.
