A Brevard County school bus driver was arrested Monday following an incident on a bus enroute to the South Alternative Learning Center in Melbourne. 59 year old William Green was charged with child abuse after allegedly pushing a 12-year-old student into a seat and placing his hands around the student’s neck. The motive behind the confrontation has not been disclosed. Green, who has been with the district since October 2023, is currently in custody at the Brevard County Jail Complex. Brevard Public Schools has suspended Green until further notice.
