The giant space balloon “Spaceship Neptune-Excelsior” successfully completed its second test flight in Titusville, marking a significant milestone for Space Perspective. The balloon ascended to 100,000 feet over a two-hour period before gliding back down. This flight aims to offer passengers a luxurious journey to the edge of space… with a price tag of $125,000. Space Perspective CEO Michael Savage says that the gentle space experience, featuring views of Earth’s curvature and space, has already attracted around 1,800 ticket buyers. The company plans to conduct additional test flights before launching commercial trips by late 2025.
